PHYSIX OBSERVATION
Data centers are turning from a technology issue into a community political issue. Amazon is trading investment for community support, but residents' concerns about the environment and the economy will not disappear because of $1 billion. The industry needs more transparent siting communication and benefit-sharing mechanisms, otherwise the pace of AI infrastructure deployment will keep being slowed by local opposition.
