SAIC Volkswagen ID. ERA 9X Gets Momenta R7 World Model OTA

SAIC Volkswagen announced a full upgrade of the ID. ERA 9X's advanced driver assistance on September 28.
The Momenta R7 world model is now being pushed to the vehicle via OTA.
The upgrade adds parking-to-parking navigation assist and smart pull-out trajectory memory.
After the LCC roaming cruise enhancement, familiar commute routes can be enabled without navigation.
Memory parking now covers ground-level campuses and multi-story parking garages.

Joint-venture brands handing smart-driving iteration to local suppliers like Momenta is becoming the mainstream path for catching up. Putting a world model on the car means end-to-end capability is starting to trickle down to joint-venture models, but the fuller the feature list, the more users need to look at the actual takeover rate. For the industry, the joint ventures' smart-driving weakness is being quickly filled in by suppliers.
