Zhuoyu launches Pansing commercial-vehicle ADAS, saving heavy trucks 20k-30k yuan a year

KEY FACTS

  • On October 29, Zhuoyu Technology launched Pansing, a commercial-vehicle advanced driver-assistance system, in Zhuhai.
  • The system covers heavy trucks, buses, light trucks and vans, debuting with highway NOA for line-haul logistics.
  • Zhuoyu says it tracked 230 production vehicles over more than 20 million kilometers, with measured fuel savings of 4.5%-7.5%.
  • Under the company's assumptions, a single vehicle can save about 20,000 to 30,000 yuan in fuel costs per year, and the system is expected to pay for itself within a year.
  • Zhuoyu is partnering with six heavy-truck brands including XCMG, Shacman and Sinotruk, together covering more than 93% of market share.

PHYSIX OBSERVATION

Commercial-vehicle autonomy has finally moved from concept to the balance sheet: a fuel-savings rate starting at 4.5% and payback within a year is a hard sell for thin-margin freight fleets. Zhuoyu reuses its passenger-car data foundation to cut development costs, but the engineering challenges of heavy trucks with nearly 1-second braking latency and 40-ton full loads still need real-vehicle validation. Partnerships with six automakers covering 93% of share are only a ticket to entry; the real test is stable fuel savings after scaled delivery.
