PHYSIX OBSERVATION
BYD is staging the global debut of its ultra-luxury sedan in the Middle East, a key step in the brand's push upmarket. The region has strong luxury-car purchasing power, but new-energy penetration is below 5%, so Dingyao looks more like a brand flagship than a volume model. What truly deserves attention is that BYD's overseas sales have already hit its full-year target ahead of schedule, and its playbook of leading with plug-in hybrids plus partnerships with local conglomerates is paying off.
