PHYSIX OBSERVATION
BYD has already pulled away from Tesla in total brand sales, and the gap is not about a single model but about product matrix and price-band coverage. Tesla relies only on the Model 3 and Model Y, two relatively expensive models, and is being outflanked from below by Chinese brands. For the industry, the center of gravity in EV competition is shifting from performance specs to cost-effectiveness and model density. If Tesla does not expand its product line, it is only a matter of time before it loses the global sales crown.
