Which Cars Actually Use Horizon Robotics?
Li Auto L6, Deepal S05, Chery Fengyun T9L, and Volkswagen Jetta M6 all use Horizon Robotics' intelligent driving technology. The entry-level version of GAC Toyota bZ3X and NIO Firefly are also on this list.
Horizon disclosed in October that its Journey series has entered more than 350 mass-production models, with cumulative shipments reaching 15 million units. Beyond the list of automakers, what's more worth examining is how the same customer keeps buying from one model to the next.
Li Auto Keeps Using It Through Model Changes, Deepal Expands from Sedans to SUVs
The partnership between Li Auto and Horizon has spanned several generations of chips.
Both Journey 3 and Journey 5 were first launched on Li Auto vehicles. By the L-series smart refresh edition, the AD Pro variants of L6, L7, L8, and L9 adopted Journey 6M. In January 2026, Li Auto pushed AD Pro 4.0 to these models, achieving urban navigation assist based on a single Journey 6M chip.
This software is led by Li Auto's own R&D and co-developed with QCraft. Horizon provides the chip, while the automaker and software partners continue developing assisted driving features. An automaker with its own R&D team can still continuously purchase Horizon's computing hardware.
Deepal, meanwhile, expanded its cooperation from the L06 to the S05. Horizon disclosed in August that the corresponding solutions for both vehicles use two Journey 6M chips each. Starting with mass production on a sedan and then moving into an SUV, the same customer adding models means chip demand grows accordingly.
Chery Buys the Full System, Volkswagen Buys Chips and Models
The Fengyun T9L, launched in April 2026, uses the Journey 6P chip and Horizon's HSD full-scenario assisted driving system.
According to the list Horizon disclosed at the time, HSD had already reached mass production on four models within less than half a year: Exeed ET5, Deepal L06, iCAR V27, and Fengyun T9L. Beyond chips, Horizon began delivering its own developed software to customers as well.
Volkswagen adopted a different approach. The joint venture CARIAD Horizon (Corent) combines Horizon chips with the HSD foundation model to continue developing full-vehicle assisted driving systems.
The Jetta M6, launched in October, uses Journey 6M in its 555 Ultra version. The recently refreshed ID.UNYX 06 and ID.UNYX 07 use Journey 6H in their corresponding versions. SAIC Volkswagen ID.ERA 5S and FAW-Volkswagen ID.AURA T6 have also entered mass production with Horizon technology.
Within a single group, cooperation has spanned FAW-Volkswagen, SAIC Volkswagen, and Volkswagen Anhui. Chips can enter models at different positioning levels, and the model can also be further developed and adapted by Corent.
