Generalist

Generalist, founded in 2024 by ex-Google DeepMind researchers Pete Florence and Andy Zeng, develops universal AI foundation models for robotics. Its GEN-1.5 model enables task learning from short video demonstrations. In August 2026, Generalist raised approximately $200 million in a Series B extension led by 8VC, reaching a $3 billion valuation.
