DiffuSpace

DiffuSpace, founded in May 2026 and based in Shenzhen, was co-founded by Professor Kong Lingpeng, co-head of the NLP lab at the University of Hong Kong, together with his PhD students Gong Shansan and Ye Jiacheng. It is one of the earliest teams dedicated to diffusion language models (dLLM) and is building next-generation foundation models around dLLM, with its Dream 7B model matching DeepSeek V3 in some capabilities. In October 2026, DiffuSpace closed two consecutive funding rounds totaling nearly RMB 500 million, the largest raise in the global dLLM sector.
